Someone was super excited about her birthday...
I knew it would be an early morning, but I wasn't anticipating a 4.30am start to the day.
That is precisely the time that Willow crawled into bed with me. So excited to see me and even more excited about opening her birthday presents.
I told her that 4.30am was way too early and she needed to go back to sleep for at least another hour until the sun came up...
She decided to sleep in bed with me, but there was no going back to sleep as she was up and down every ten minutes or so checking outside the blinds to see if the sun was awake...

She read her new book to me - such a good little reader.... |
My 5.15am I had given up any hope of catching a bit more sleep and both Willow and I ended up out in the lounge so as not to awaken Max or anyone else in the house... I gave her one of the new books I bought down and we read it quietly together until her Mum got back from her run around 5:45am.
By now it was time to wake up everyone else so that she could open her presents...
She was SUPER excited...

Breakfast in bed so that we could open the presents... |
 |
Her stash of presents.... |
 |
She has been taught to read her cards first.. |
It was so good to see that Willow took the time to open her cards and read the greetings and best wishes of those that had blessed her with gifts...
 |
Max handing on the gifts. |
Max was super keen to get the gifts from the dresser and hand them to Willow. He was very good at doing it and didn't once whinge about Willow getting all the gifts. So proud of this little man....

Reading her birthday cards.. |
 |
Thrilled with her presents.. |
She has not been allowed to have chewing gum or bubble gum. Her parents told her she could have some when she turned seven, so for her birthday they wrapped up some "Hubba Bubba Gum". She was thrilled to receive it, and even before her breakfast she had to have a piece...
Her parents spoiled her with two gifts this year, she was finally allowed to get her ears pierced, so received a card with some new ear rings in the card and she was thrilled, and they also gave her a pair of roller blades. To say she was excited would be an understatement...
 |
Proudly showing off her new rollerblades that lit up... |
She still had one more present to get from her Moppy and Poppy. She had long outgrown her two wheeler bike that she received on her 3rd birthday, so Sarah had done a scout around and found a good second hand bike that we were able to purchase and then give to her...
She loved it....

Her new bike from Moppy and Poppy |
She was also keen to have a good with her new roller blades before she had to get ready for school.
It was a little hard to get her motivated to get ready for school, she had so many new things that she was keen to play with. On the other hand Max was super keen to get dressed and get ready to go for his play date with Hope to Lollipops...
In the end, Sarah took Willow to school whilst Kathy picked both Max and I up to go to Lollipops. We needed to be home by noon so that we could go pick up Willow and take her out for a special birthday treat lunch and then to get her ears pierced...
She was super keen and O so brave....

She was very keen to have them done |

Measuring up and trying to select the right spot for her new ear rings.... |
 |
Checking that the dots are even on both ears |
They didn't do her ears straight away as one of the girls was on lunch so we did have to end up coming back. I love how they get two girls to do it at the same time to minimize the level of pain and discomfort.
 |
Both ears getting done at once... |
So super proud of her... there was no crying and no tears, she sat there like a real little trooper....
She picked a little pair of daiy ear rings and they look super awesome on her...

Her little daisy studs |

One happy little munchkin.... |
By the time we got her ears pierced, we really had little time until we needed to meet everyone down at the park for Friday afternoon play a a little birthday afternoon tea...
We barely had time to drop in at home to pick up the food and get back up to the park before everyone arrived.
Willow's amazing birthday cake made by her Mummy. She really wanted a fairy garden cake this year...
 |
Ready to blow out the candles on her cake and then cut it.... |
 |
pretending to blow out her candles... it was too windy to light them... |
 |
This cheeky little monkey with a mouth full of cake... |
It was after 6pm by the time we got home, and Friday night at the Moore house is movie night... Even though Willow had had an early start she was still keen to have her movie night (her turn to pick a movie) and she was keen for pizza for her birthday dinner...
So pizza it was and we all had a movie night... It was closer to 8pm before she went to bed, a good hour past her bed time, but I can tell you, I was exhausted also... In fact I ended up falling asleep on the couch.
It was a great day, and Willow thoroughly enjoyed her very special day. So pleased that I could be down here to share it with her....
