DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS...

After no Christmas Decorations at home for the past three years, this year it was time to decorate again...  We missed the last couple of years because we were off travelling, and the year before that we celebrated Christmas at our daughter Chloe's home and also at the home of her future in-laws at that stage......

There is something festive about having your house decorated...  Music in the house and presents under the tree, and so this year, I asked that it be decorated for my birthday...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

 In fact I had forgotten about a lot of our decorations... I am missing the Christmas Stockings as they have now been given to all the kids... I think it is about time, I made one for Steve and I so that I have stockings to hang on our fireplace again....

and my little silver tree is gaining new decorations each year....

 Then it was time to decorate the tree.  Steve bought some new Christmas lights that he can control with his phone... Lots of fun doing this,  we can have them like fireworks, or icicles, flashing, all sorts of different ways, and you can even program to turn on at a certain time each evening....

 Ah the memories that each decoration brings... Memories over the year....
They all have a memory attached to them....
This year we bought a new star for the top... Previously we have had one that lights up, but not this year.... The old one has died so we just bought a cheap one this year... Will be looking out for a new one that lights again that can also be managed from your phone... I am sure we will find one at some stage...

 More decorations make it out of the Christmas box and now we have some on the piano.  I'm loving this time of year... We are listening to Christmas Carols whilst we do it too....  The most wonderful time of the year....
