OFF TO A CHRISTMAS MUSICAL....
The Cathedral of Praise in Rocky put on a wonderful Christmas Musical at the start of December each year... We normally always attend... but have missed the last couple of years because we have been away...
It just so happens that this year it coincided with a visit by Steve's parents and I knew his Mum would love it. She very rarely gets out at all so this would be a real treat for her...
The musical is always excellent. The script is written by members of the church and members of the church and students of their school are heavily involved in the musical. They have been presenting a musical each December now for the past 25 years. A real credit to them, and a wonderful outreach to their community...
Mum was delighted to attend...and she thoroughly enjoyed it as we did..
This year they presented

This year's musical... |
One of the teachers from school was in it as also was her daughter...
The dancers were wonderful....
The costumes and music was first class...
The choir was housed in a Christmas Tree....
There is a considerable amount of work involved in setting up this area for the Choir to sit in. I also wonder whether it would be a little prickly with the tree branches everywhere..

Getting all the greenery together to make the choir stand... |

Think it would be a bit spikey here.... |

Someone is happy with his work... |
The cast did an excellent job also....

Nic, one of the teachers from our school and her daughter... |
The props and costuming were wonderful...
Truly a first class production....
During one of the musical items, they even had a couple of artists who painted a picture to complete the imagery of the song... Very well done..
There were three scene changes and the props were very well done also...
And did I say just how spectacular the dancers where...
So so graceful....
Each act was followed by a musical item, song or dance...
Steve's mum was mesmerized, and although I worried a little at the start that it might have been a bit loud for her, so seemed to be enjoying herself immensely..
The instumental item was just beautiful, the choir then joined in followed by the dancers.. Honestly at time you just didn't know where to look... just so much happening and all very good...

They were then joined on stage by more dancers... |
Another amazing success for the Cathedral of Praise... Hope to be around next year...
Enjoying our outing out together...
So thankful that we went...
Even more thankful that we were able to take Steve's mum to a treat like this.
