A BUSY WEEKEND SPRING CLEANING AT HOME...

It's been a bit of a busy weekend, but at least this time we were home and at least we got some cleaning done...

Normally, we use our holidays in the lead up to Christmas to do a good spring clean at home, and then everything is clean and fresh for Christmas and the New Year...

The last couple of years we have missed doing this, as in 2017 we were on our lap of Australia and spent Christmas and part of the holidays in Melbourne and then in 2018 we were overseas in Denmark and Iceland for the Christmas break...

I was desperate to give our room a very DEEP clean.. a large job, as I needed STeve to unscrew boards above our curtains to get the blinds and curtains down so that I could wash them.  We cleaned all the surfaces of the dressing table, and chest of draws and bedside tables.  We washed all the walls and windows, pull all the furniture out and  thoroughly vacumed everything and the room, including the mattress, skirting boards,  got any  cobwebs that were lingering around,  gave the ceiling fan a good clean, and then it we  washed it all as well, so our room is sparkling clean now.

 It is such a big job to do the whole house...
It is time to start breaking it up and doing a room at a time each month throughout the year...
First of all though we need to have a HUGE declutter and get rid of a lot the stuff that we really no longer use... We also need to get rid of a lot of the kids stuff that just seems to have been left at our place...  I figure it is many years now since it has been used so they probably don't want it either...

We have also had Steve's parents with us for the weekend...
