HOLIDAY COMES TO AND END AND HEADING BACK TO BRISSIE..

This past week with the children at home has flown by far too quickly  Our last day in Rocky was pretty quiet one as we had a heap of packing and cleaning to do before we could head off early the following morning.

The children were really good and played well together whilst Steve and I got on with our work...
In the end, Max really wanted to see the pretty lights on the castle ( the Christmas lights on St Joseph's Cathedral) so that night I took them back down for one last look.  We sat through two rotations before I bought them back home and put them to bed.

Once they were in bed, Steve and I packed the car for a very early start the following morning...

We woke them to put them in the car the following morning, and both children were relieved to find that Skittles had found his way into the car and was coming back to Brissie with us.

We had a pretty good run down the highway. Max fell asleep again and we got to Gin Gin before he awoke.  We stopped here to give the children a break and a toilet stop and then made it all the way through to Curra near Gympie...

We arrived back in Brissie after lunch... The kids were very happy to see their parents and were quite happy to fill them in on all our adventures....  Max was super delighted to be home and back with all his toys.

We spent the afternoon with Sarah as we were heading over to Chloe's later to stay with her and Dan for the week of Christmas.  They were both on holidays now so were keen to spend some time with us as usually they are at work when we are down....

We got to Dan and Chloe's that night... it was good to catch up with them.  They are always happy to see us.

The following day, Chloe and I went off to finish her last bit of Christmas shopping and we had some girlie time together and went and had our feet done for Christmas....

We didn't catch up with Sarah and the family today.  We figured that they would probably enjoy spending some time with their own family as the children had been away for the week...

Besides, tomorrow we were moving over to be closer to Sarah.  Her good friend Hannah had offered us their home to stay in so that we would be close to Sarah for Christmas morning.. It was so kind and generous of them..

Christmas is only two sleeps away now...
