remember when I was 40, he told me he had a milestone birthday too!

This wonderful man was 88 and a half and lived at Warana on the Sunshine Coast
and right to the end of his life, He still loved Bundy.

yes he had boats where Toyworld is now on the opposite corner to Maccas. I used
to live in the last house in Heidke St at the time it was a dead end street.

ago and AL is doing well.

Sadly, Jill he passed away last Thursday evening. It was very sudden. He was
given a clean bill of health the previous Thursday. He got sick on the weekend,
and we were so grateful that all of his family, grandchildren and great

Alan and his wife Margaret were good friends of my parents. I am still in
contact with two of his daughters and was sorry to hear that he passed away
just last Thursday evening.

Hello Lyn, yes I am on this page now and I appreciate all the lovely comments
by everyone. It would be great to catch up for a coffee at some time after I
come home. I'll be away for another week and a half as dad's funeral is this
Friday and my sisters and I have some things to go through in the following
week.

Thanks Leanne. We are very sad to have had to say goodbye to our dad, but he
was so peaceful and ready to go. We had the privilege of being there with him
until the end. He will leave a huge hole in our lives, but he lived a wonderful
life and was a great example for us to follow. We have now moved back to Bundy
and it would be lovely to catch up with you and Kay again. ๐

Alan Stewart passed away last Thursday aged 88. He was a wonderful asset to
Bundaberg in many ways. His funeral will be held at 11am this coming Friday,
20th March, at the Lifepointe Baptist Church, Wises Rd, Buderim.

My Dad Ron Burgess worked for Alan over north & and the current site. He
drove the Holdens back from Brisbane to Bundy & towed the Cheney caravans
& boats back also. Ron later ran the service station. Alan was always very
good to Dad.

Hi Jocelyn, I remember your dad so well. He drove our wedding car and we really
liked him. Had a lot of interaction with him over the years. My dad thought
very highly of him too. So sorry to hear he has passed on too.

thanks Judy. Dad was always such a giving person. Always loved to give a
helping hand. He was a great Dad & still miss him always. He thought the
world of Alan & know the feeling was mutual. I remember Alan spoke at Dads
funeral & knew Dad would have been very honoured. So sad to think they’ve
both gone. You will miss your Dad very much.

Yeh he had a dealership over north we bought our new car ๐ from him of course it was a Holden there is a driveway at
the botanical gardens named after him I think he had a lot to do with making
the botanical gardens whilst he was Mayor I meet him several times a real
gentleman

the FOMOCO. (Ford Motor Company) in those days....
