SHARING A SUNSET....

Since the sunset was absolutely amazing the day before I really wanted to share it with Steve today...
Unfortunately he was still on his crutches, so coming for a walk with me was probably not a good idea so we decided to go for a drive up to the hill behind Steve's work to watch the sun set over the airport.  What a treat we were in for again today...

As we sat on the hill and witnessed this together, I couldn't help but be reminded on a bible verse in Psalms...

The Heaven’s declare the glory of God..
The Skies proclaim the works of his Hands.
Psalm 19:1

This sky certainly displayed the Glory of God and was a wonderful reminder to be thankful for us goodness to us in being able to just stop in this busy crazy world we live it  and just be and just enjoy.

Once the sun set, we decided to go for a little drive out to Yeppon Lagoon and see the reflections of the sunset on the water there....

We were probably only out of our house for an hour, but it is surprising how lifted in spirits we felt when we got home.  An hour of appreciation.... an hour of stopping and being in awe of the beauty that still surrounds us, an hour of togetherness, an hour of just being present in the moment....

May we all learn new lessons from this self isolation, of this time for stopping and renewing and recharging and when the world does pick up momentum and begins it crazy busy cycle, may we never forget what it was like to just stop and to just appreciate...
