MORNING TEA DOWN AT YEPPOON....
Having been away for six weeks it was nice to have a catch up with my good friend Eleonore. She was feeling the need for a little bit of sea air, so invited me to accompany her on a drive down to the beach for morning tea...
It was lovely to catch up again and we ended up down at a lovely little restaurant in Yeppoon called Whisk....
Whisk Cafe is one of Yeppoon's local cafes and it has a real funky, friendly atmosphere and vibe. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food is obviously good because the place was packed. The food is excellent with all their beautiful cakes and food made on the premises. The presentation of the food is beautiful.
The Cafe is situated in the James Street which is the main street of Yeppoon just a short stroll from the beach.

We decided to share the lovely Turkish Delight Tart... |
The cafe spills out on the footpath, but we chose to sit under the awning in the shade as the day was a little warm..
We were seated at Table number 4.
The cakes and tarts looked really decadent and they were quite large servings, so we decided that we would share a piece of the Turkish Delight Tart, as we both liked Turkish Delight. Rather than have it with cream, we decided to have it with ice cream instead to try and break down the sweetness.
Rather than a hot drink, we both went for cold drinks also. I had the fresh pineapple juice, and Eleonore had a cold milk drink...

We did think about going for a walk after our morning tea, but with my leg still very sore we thought that it was probably not a real good idea. We ended up just going for a scenic drive down the coast and ended up at Emu Park where we went to visit Jannett another friend of ours.
She was delighted to see us and we had another cuppa with her and spent an hour or two visiting with her before heading home. It was so good to catch up with friends that I hadn't seen for a couple of weeks...
