OFF TO AGNES WATER TODAY....
We were up early, enjoyed breakfast out under the awning watching the wildlife, whilst Ian drove into Bundy to get his tyre seen too.
Didn’t take us long to pack up as we had no hoses or electricity cords to pack away. In fact we were all ready to leave just after 9am. We headed into town, to fuel up, grabbed a couple of supplies from Big W and met Ian and Kathy at Salter’s Oval.
We had a pretty good run up the highway, our only holdups being road works. We encountered our first lot of road works just as we left the Scout Park and were held up here for about 10 minutes. There was a huge line up of traffic...
The trip this morning was only one and a half hours and we were there just before lunch time. It also didn’t take us too long to set up.
We had lunch and went for a little wander down onto the beach whilst we were waiting for John and Barb to arrive. They arrived around 2.30pm and after we all had a cuppa together it was time to help them set up their tent.

Their tent was one of those tents which claimed that it could be erected in 10 minutes. We decided to put it to the test, so with all hands on board, the process of putting it up began. Of course we were timing the process and I am sad to say, it took much longer than 10 minutes. In fact with six sets of hands helping it took approx 35minutes, and then we still had to unpack everything else, eg, beds, and they all had to be made, and then tables, chairs, boxes of cooking utensils etc.
It was quite the task. It was for this reason that Kathy and I had decided that we would take care of dinner for everyone this evening...
There was much excitement in camp tonight. This was our first trip away altogether since we had done our lap and there was much chatter and reminiscing of our past life on the road. I can see this is going to be a great couple of weeks away together.
We sat out chatting till well after 9pm before calling it quits and heading to bed....
