PHOTOS FROM ABROAD....
It has been a very hard 18months... By now we should have seen our Danish family for a second time. In fact we should be over with them now, but Covid has put a stop to all of that. We miss our precious family.
Our little Elliot is now 5 months old and we haven't managed to see him yet and according to news back home here it could be at least another 12 months before we will even be allowed to leave our country... This makes me incredibly sad because it means we will never have seen our youngest grandson as a baby, or been able to have those baby cuddles. In fact he will well and truly be a toddler before we get to meet him.
However, I am extremely grateful for technology which allows us to interact with them multiple times a week. It would be SO MUCH harder if we didn't have Facetime... At least our grandsons know us... They recognize us so hopefully when we do get to meet up, they will be happy to come to us and feel comfortable with us.
We miss Pete and Maria, especially around those special family times, we love them both to bits and feel so blessed to have the wonderful inlaws that we have in both Maria and our wonderful son in laws, Colin and Dan. I thank God daily for our amazing family..
Anyway, I am also so very grateful to Pete and Maria for always keeping up in the loop with photos of our beautiful grandchildren... These are just some of the things they have got up to in the last month...
Theo enjoying a very special Danish ice-cream |
Theo was very excited about getting this ice cream and was telling us all about it when they facetimed. They normally call us when he first wakes up and is having his breakfast as he is always much more chatty with us when he is sitting in his highchair. Once he gets down, all he wants to do is play and it is much harder to gain his attention then.
He loves to chat to his Moppy Poppy when he eats his breakfast. |
Out and about in Copenhagen. |
A visit to Kastellet - Copenhagen |
Nap time - like father, like son... |
Maria with our gorgeous grandson Elliot |
Theodore loves his lego, and especially loves building big towers. His Dad also loves his lego and spends a lot of time building with Theo. Then Pete always loved it as a kid also....
It is a very big tower Moppy... much taller than me, even when I am standing on a stool... |
One of the other things Theo loves to do is listen to Nursery Rhymes and lots of Aussie songs. He has his own headset to listen to these. We love it when he wants to sing them too us. Some of his favourites are "Gloop went the little green frog one day"and also "This old man he played One
"Love these precious kids and can't wait for the day that we can all be together again. Love their Mum and Dad to bits also...
