This is the reason we have come to Brissie...
Our beautiful youngest daughter turns 30 and is having a big party at their place to celebrate. She is so happy to be able to hold this event at home, and they have done a absolutely beautiful job in setting up their back yard and deck to host such an event.
We spent a couple of days setting up, mowing lawns, setting up stools and barrels, hanging festoon lighting and fairy lights and the night was just perfect.
They had a wide range of guests from work colleagues, to church friends, friends from the dog park, school friends, family and her old friends from Rocky. There were approx 70 of guests.
They had it catered for which did save us a lot of work. They had a BBQ with the boys cooking all the rissoles, kebabs and sausauges earlier in the day so that they only had to cook the steak in the evening,
They had a couple of fire pits set up as a cold snap had been predicted for the weekend. We had bought ours down, but Dan and Chloe also wanted to buy one to have at home for when they entertain also,
They had hired big barrels and stools and these were all scattered around their back yard.
Food tables were all set up with lovely gold and white plates and bamboo cutlery.
The BBQs were all set up ready. We were all ready by lunch time, so it felt a little strange that we were so relaxed.
The drinks were all in ice ready to go...
Chloe had set up several big size games for people to play during the course of the afternoon and evening,

Chloe was keen to have photos of all the guests. She worked really hard to spend time with everyone so that they felt welcomed and enjoyed themself. She had such a variety of people that that didn't know each other before her party, but everyone seemed to mix really well and they all seemed to be having a good time

Time to eat, and there was plenty of food. They had ordered a few different salads, fried rice and potato bake to accompany the different meats that were on offer...
Chloe had a beautiful birthday cake. It was made for her for her birthday by one of the wives of one of the guys she works with. She had done such a good job and it looked stunning. It looked more like a wedding cake than a birthday cake and I know she felt very blessed and very grateful to Toby and his wife for their incredible gift to her...

One the cake was cut, it was left to Sharyn and I to slice it up and pass it around... Chloe had a few of her good friends wanting to have some photos taken with them, so I had to dig out my camera...
