A DAY SPENT WITH GIRLFRIENDS....
Last Saturday whilst Steve was away fishing with a mate, I got to spent time with some amazing woman who bless me with their friendship...
I spent the morning down at Emu Park catching up with a couple of girls that I have worked with previously. I see my friend Jannett often, we had planned to get together and go and do a bit of shopping at a local fabric shop in Emu Park to buy some binding for our aprons...
We contacted another friend Kerri-Laure whom we haven't seen for quite a while and she was really happy to meet us for a coffee to catch up with us both also...

We spent a good couple of hours catching up. We all have amazing grown children who are all off living their best lives and it was great to hear about what each of these young adults are up to these days.
Interestingly enough, we were all born in the same year so had a lot of things in common...
Jannett and I both left Kerri around 12.30pm. As I had picked Jannett up, I was driving her home and we just couldn't get over the absolute glorious day it was on the coast. Neither of us felt like heading indoors, so we ended up going to the local fish and chip shop and order some fish and salad for lunch and then decided to headed down to the main beach at Emu Park for lunch..
Such a beautiful day... Gorgeous blue sunny skies... Deep blue waters, the whole coast looks stunning today...
We grabbed a picnic table on the beach and enjoyed our lunch whilst the cool ocean breeze washed over us... It wasn't cold just very refreshing and it was hard to leave once we had finished our lunch...

We decided to take the scenic drive along the coast line back to Jannett's. I am so appreciating this beautiful part of the world we live in. I don't think I ever realized or appreciated how beautiful the Capricorn Coast is until we had traveled around Australia. We have it so good in our own back yard...
I was only back home for an hour or so before my good friend Eleonore popped in for a visit. She was keen for a buddy to go to the movies with her...
We ended up going to see the French movie "The Rose Maker". It was a rather different film as it was all in French. This meant that we had to read the script. I thought it might be a bit hard and you would miss the gist of the movie but it was a lot simplier than I thought. In fact the scenery and visuals helped with the story line...
Great girls movie - but it was all in French |
