BOYS FISHING TRIP...
The Boys went fishing. Steve and his mate Charlie were to go fishing with another friend of ours and his brother. Alan and his brothers go fishing for a week together every year up at Pancake Creek and had invited Steve to join them this year. He was really looking forward to it. His friend Charlie was going to join them as well. They had organised all their camping gear as they were sleeping out under the stars....
Four days before they were due to go, Brisbane went into lock down and they were unable to leave their Local Government area. This was quite disappointing to all concerned..
Steve and Charlie had organised themselves to go, so in the end they decided to just have go to Turkey Beach for three days instead. At least that way, they didn't have to take all their camping gear with them...
Steve and Charlie left around lunch time on Friday and managed to get the boat into the water later that afternoon to drop their crab pots...

Lots of Magpie Geese on the water today.. |

They certainly made the most of their time away, heading out around 6am in the morning and fishing all day and returning home around 10pm at night... They did manage a few good catches of fish though and we will have meals for the next few weeks...
Also managed to get a couple of crabs from the pots too...
It really is lovely out on the water at sunset.

There second day saw them going out an hour later in the morning, but still not returning until 10pm at night... I'm not that keen on them being on the water at night, although the boys do have the GPS on the boat which brings them home on the route they took heading out...
I must admit, though, I am always thankful when I know they are home safe and sound...
