ROAD TRIPPIN' AGAIN...

We are back on the road again.

We were supposed to spend a week in Brisbane helping Sarah whilst she was on Prac and then head off for two months holidaying throughout NSW.    In fact, we changed our holidays three times due to Covid and lock downs, and in the end, none of the trips we planned can go ahead.  Ah well, the Caravan is just staying home and we have come to Bris to help Sarah and then Chloe, who has since we planned our original holiday has found out that she needs some surgery on her foot, so once we finish out helping out Sarah whilst she does a prac, we will then move over to Chloe's to help her out whilst she has her foot in a cast.

Our holidays will have to be put on the back burner until next year and hopefully we will have a little better luck getting away then.

On our way through to Bris on the weekend, we stopped off in Bundy to visit Steve's parents.  His mum really needed some help in the garden, so we spent the morning weeding her garden for her.  They now get people in to mow the lawns, but they don't weed.  This is probably because it is labour intense and they would have to charge too much for this to be done..

Gardening at his parents place...

It took Steve most of the morning to spray the garden and tidy it all up for his Mum.  Gardening has always been one of her hobbies and even though she can no longer manage to do it, she still gets so much enjoyment out of her garden, so it is nice to keep it looking nice for her otherwise she finds it very stressful.

Whilst Steve was weeding the garden, I took a wander around it and photographed some of her flowering plants.  It was probably a little early to do this as it is  not quite Spring yet and the flowers were not quite out in full bloom.  However, there were still a lot of beauty in her garden...

The Orchids are out in bloom

It  was probably close to 2pm before we finally got away..  We wanted to stop off at the Sunshine Coast to drop off all of Steve's fishing gear as he really didn't want to take it all into Brissie to leave laying around at Sarah's place.

Our tennants were in the process of moving out so we are hoping to have a couple of weeks there in the next month to chill out and get a few more jobs done...

It was nice pulling in there.  Always a comforting place.  Lots of  wonderful memories of my parents.  It is just a comfortable feeling being there.  It is still like coming home...

I love our yard there and had a good wander around it before it was time to leave again...

From here it was straight into Brissie.  We arrived around 7pm just as the kids had gone to bed.  They weren't asleep however, so we had to go in and give them some big hugs and kisses.  Sarah's in laws were also there for dinner.  They had spent the day down here helping out with the children until we arrived and had taken them to the movies and then out to Maccas for dinner.  It was lovely to catch up with them also....
