HAVING OUR GRANDKIDS FOR THE HOLIDAYS...

Heading to Brissie for our appointment, allowed us to bring our grandchildren back to the Sunny Coast to spend a week's holiday with us...

Sarah has a heap of Uni assignments that she needs to complete so we were happy to take the children off her hands for a week.  We love having them for holidays and look forward to this special time with them...

We started our special week with them with a cooked breakfast, which we enjoyed out on our patio...

We tried a new recipe and had a German pancake,  a little like french toast but was quite dense and very eggy...  I don't think the kids were huge fans of it, but we ate it anyway..

German pancake

dusted with icing sugar

Enjoying breakfast outdoors

Topped with yoghurt...

All gone
This visit Willow was keen to have her own room.  This is the first time she has been keen for this... Normally the children don't like to be separated.  Whilst Willow was keen, Max wasn't as keen, so in the end She would lay in his room and read her book until Max fell asleep and then would go into her own room...

We were super impressed on how tidy she kept her room.  We didn't have to ask her once to make her bed or tidy her room.  It seemed that she was so happy to have her own room that she made a special effort to keep it clean and tidy.

Fresh flowers from my darling... Love how he brings flowers home and it is so nice having them in the house...

This morning Max was keen to play some board games.  He is really into snakes and ladders, but only if he is winning.  He is hilarious to play with and we are trying to tell him that it really doesn't matter who wins.  He gets quite upset when he continually lands on the snakes head...  Even so he is still keen to play the game and most days saw us having a game of Snakes and Ladders..

Feeling very blessed that we get to have the kids for a holiday.  Love this time that we spend with them..It is always so much fun....
