AFTER THE RAIN...

 We have been on a severe weather warning all week, as a low sits of the coast from us.  Tuesday afternoon we took off to Brissie to help fix a leaking tap for Sarah..  The weather was overcast when we left to go down, and sunny at Sarah's but on our way home, we hit rain around Beerwah..  It was pretty heavy, but it was torrential for about the last 20 kms, especially around Sippy Downs...

It was torrential rain all night with us having over 6 inches of rain over night...

But by mid morning we had blue skies again, all the while getting messages from the BOM that we were in for a major weather event.

The birds are enjoying it all though...

Once that sun came out, I figured it was time to get a load of washing done, as we were still expecting a lot more rain to come later in the week...

Washing done and dusted...

Good thing I got the washing done, as the rain returned later in the afternoon and we notched up another couple of inches.  

Barb and I had planned to swim again today, but the weather really didn't work in our favour so we both read a book instead..

It wasn't a bad book.  First time I have read a book by this author.... Might have to keep my eyes open for some more of her books...

We plan to swim again in the morning if the weather permits...
