ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLANTS...

 So glad we managed to make it home before this beautiful plant flowered this year.  It is a little late flowering this year for which I am thankful for.  Normally these flowers are out in February.  They only flower once a year but when they do they are really quite spectacular...

These flowers would certainly compliment the Red Hatter Ladies with their bright red and touch of purple.  

Unfortunately they only last for about a week and then die off.  Some of these plants are definitely coming with me when we move south.  I really love these and the beautiful fireball plant..
