A Man wouldn't last more than a day in the desert without ski goggles

For Easter Pete went out to Alice Springs to visit a friend and in just under a week they did about 2000kms of travel around the center of Australia.His friend Jolene from Brisbane is out there working at the moment so he took the opportunity to catch up with her and also see some of the natural beauty of this country in which we live. Alice Springs and the outback have had lots of rain this year so the country was alive with plantlife and spectacular in every way.
Pete has always been a bit different so I am not sure what possessed him to take his ski goggles to the Alice, but it seems that all of them wore them at some stage whilst trekking around the outback. Jolene's excuse where they helped keep away the flies.
And I am not sure what possessed Pete to hike the 11 klms or more around the base of Uluru wearing a beanie and a pair of ugg boots either - but I am pretty sure his feet would have felt it by the time they got back to camp some 5 hours later.
Seems like a little rest was in order to rest their aching feet.
We were very impressed by the seat they got to rest on. Just had to share some of the photos of the amazing scenery they saw on their travels.

And whilst this post is about Pete, thought I would also share the layout I did this week, cause it is all about Pete and his ducklings, Winston and Chester.
Well I had better get busy and start packing up some of my scrapbooking gear as I'm off to scrapbook with the girls this afternoon at our monthly scrapbooking get together. Feel so disorganised - have no idea what I am going to do, maybe just some more cards.
