Been too busy to blog lately

Life has been pretty hectic here lately as we get ready for our big holiday. Only 35 sleeps to go, and still so much to do before we can go. I'm trying to finish off things that need to be done for people whilst we are away, organise things at home, pack our caravan, have lots of appointments, eg, dentist visits, doctor visits, physio appointments, routine tests that are due now and so want to try and get them done before I go. Trying to catch up with friends too, this hasn't left much time to blog or play with paper.

It is hard to believe that this holiday we have been planning for the past two years is almost here.

Steve and I have managed to have a couple of date nights out together. Earlier this month we went to the Movies to see this movie. We actually enjoyed it - a bit of romance and lots of actions.Steve had quite a few of his students in the "The Rockhampton Grammar Schools" production of this musical.
It was an amazing performance. It is hard to beleive that these kids are still students at school. It was extremely professional and I am sure that everyone that went really enjoyed it.

This past weekend was busy partying with the girls. One of my friends celebrated her 40th birthday. On Saturday a few of her close friends and her family went out to dinner to celebrate her birthday, and also her Daughters birthday. (her daughter was 15 on Saturday)
And this last weekend was such a girlie weekend celebrating my friend Brenda's 40th Birthday. Her daughter turned 15 on Saturday ( a couple of days after her birthday) so on Saturday night a couple of close friends and her family all went out to "The Crooked Cactus" for dinner to celebrate both birthdays. What a night - lots of laughing...lots of good food.... and great company. just a great girlie time.
We went Mexican and had a lovely meal at "The Crooked Cactus" here in Town.
We celebrated this lovely young ladies birthday also. Lots of fun, and laughter
Great food
Great friends.
The Birthday Girls.
On Sunday afternoon, Brenda enjoyed another 40th Birthday celebration with a special High Tea with thirty odd friends at the Chocolate Shop. Another fun girls afternoon and this is just a little of what was found on our tables. Some snap shots of our High Tea.Mother and daughter shots.Opening Presents and Table hopping. Family Photos - with sisters and three generations.

Photos with close friends.
It was a pretty full on weekend, but tons of fun, and it made me realize just how much I am going to miss this wonderful bunch of woman when I am away. I feel so incredibly blessed to have them in my life.
Things I am thankful for this month:

1 church family and wonderful friends.
2. my friend Barb, who rang last night to make sure I was OK cause I hadn't updated my blog lately.

3. that the bone scan came back clear for my friend who has had cancer. The pain is only from arthritis rather than the return of cancer.

4. date nights with my wonderful husband

5. slow cooker - and the wonderful smell of the meal cooking in it for dinner tonight.

6. Organistaion
7. the joy and excitement of planning our big holiday with that wonderful man of mine.

8. phone calls from my kids.

9. being blessed by one of the young guys from church fixing my computer.

10. my bed
