The past couple of weeks that were......

Let the photos say it all.

It has been a busy couple of weeks, Spent 8 days in Hobart and didn't stop. So much to do and see there.

Could the red double decker bus - great views from the front row seats up top.

How could you go to Hobart and not visit the Salamanca Markets - Even found some of the famous Tayberry Jam here.

Spent a couple of hours exploring the Royal Tasmanian Botancial Gardens - amazing place but honestly could have spent a day here wandering around, we only covered about a quarter of the gardens,

Another Day we visited Franklin and went to the Boat Centre where they are building a couple of wooden boats out of Huon Pine. Very interesting place to visit. The guys there were very helpful and answered every question we asked them.

That same afternoon we drove through to Geeveston and headed out to the Tahune Air Walk. Well worth the visit. We did the air walk and then continued on and do the walk over the Swing Bridges. We never tire of see the huge trees that grow here in Tassie. Never see them this size back home.

On another day we headed to Port Arthur - We got side tracked a little on the way and visited these great places.
Amazing Coastline and scenery.

This is an amazing place and really we didn't have nearly enough time here. You could spend a couple of days here jus soaking up the History.

PORT ARTHUR
Earlier this week we left Hobart and started our journey up the East Coast of Tassie. We came accross this gorgeous beach called Mayfield Beach, and as you could camp there for free, we decided to pull in there and spend a couple of days. We just stopped and pretty much did nothing for a couple of days. I read a couple of books and went for long walks on the beach, Steve managed to do a spot of fishing and caught a feed for our dinner. We could have easily stayed here for a week.
We've since moved on from Mayfield Beach and are now free camping up in the Bay of Fires - quite spectacular but will leave that till next time to share. It is about time now to call it quits for the night.
