A Creative Week
The last couple of years I have felt like I have been riding a roller coaster, with so much going on in my life. Some good stuff, some not so good stuff, but after having had a wonderful 4 months off work and enjoying the company of my husband, we got the chance to explore a good part of this wonderful country we live in. We saw some same amazing scenery, which made me ever so grateful and thankful that we serve a very creative God, who has lavished his goodness on us. The break has been wonderful, has done us both the world of good, and has inspired me to come home and be creative once again.
This week I finished another layout. Sorry the photo is not good, but haven't had a chance to take a photo through the week, so have taken it tonight under not so good lighting.
It's the nineth layout I have done this month. Thinking I might set my self a goal of doing a layout a week for the rest of the year. (Might get me caught up on the backlog of photos I have from 2010, neverlone all our holiday photos)
I have also had a lot of fun building up my card bank again. I have got to use up quite a bit of my old stash of papers that have just been been stored for the last couple of years. So pleased they are not going to waste.
Then I had play with some pink papers.
I have also managed to get my needle and cotton out and do a little sewing. February is almost done and dusted, so figured that my little hearts need to come off my silver tree and be replaced wth something else. I found a pattern for these and have been busily cutting them out so I can sew them up this weekend.
My sample one, the rest are all cut out in this little bag ready to take to the beach with me in the morning. I will make sure I take a photo of them all on the little tree when I am done. I think it will be such pretty sight.
On Thursday I went shopping with my friend Ann. We hit Spotlight and ended up walking out with a bag full of goodies so that we can get started on our Christmas sewing.
This is just a sample of some of the things I bought so that I can get started on my Advent Calendar for Christmas for this eyar. I am enjoying getting the sewing machine out again. I am off tomorrow on a girls retreat weekend down on the Coast. I plan on taking down this little pile so that I can get started on this project.
I have been trying to work on some goals for 2011. Ideally I would love to have 52 of them, one for every week of the year. It hasn't happened yet I just haven't had time to work it out yet, but I will and when I do I will post it here.
I'm out of here, it's late and I need to hit the sack. Will be back share more in the next couple of days.
