Bella is very sick

She has graduated... last week she got these
and this week, her beloved Bella is sick.... very sick..... and needs to go to the car doctors. She has had to come driving with her parents this weekend. A bit of a comedown..... but nice to all go out and about together again... Will have to ring the garage this week and see if we can book her car in to get it fixed..... sounds like it is going to cost her a bit..... So feel for her..... but am so thankful that she is prepared.

I've been creative again this week.... mostly working on these
and now they are all finished and are adorning my dining room table looking like this..
Wonder what I will work on for the month of April..... thinking it will reflect Easter.

Last night as I sat watching a bit of TV with my lovely man, I had a play with some paper and came up with these....I have also started doing some Christmas sewing. If I don't start now it won't be finished for Christmas. My friend Ann and I did this a couple of years ago when we made our kids some Christmas stocking. We started them in February and finished them in December, so we decided we will do the same again this year, and hopefully our Advent Calendars will be ready for the 1st December. Will show you when we get a little more done.

It has been stinking hot in Queensland this past week... unbearably so.... probably not the heat so much but the awlful humidity. The sort of weather where you want to stay indoors in the air con. Yesterday afternoon the sky looked like this

It bucketed with rain for most of the night, and today has been lovely......

Yesterday we spent most of the day in our office sorting out all the paper work that has been sitting there for six months or more. It is now all filed away and the office is looking good. In fact we can see the bench tops again. Little by little we are getting on top of things at home once again.

Today I got spoilt again and this is what my dining room table looks like tonight.

Love it when Woolies has specials on Roses. Love having them in my home... Love the fragrance... love the fact that they symbolise that I am loved...

I came across these two photos this week...... just a bit of loveliness I thought I would share

“The greatest gift you will ever receive will never be found under a Christmas tree. It is far too valuable to be stored in any other place but in the depths of your heart.” Anonomous

Thought these looked pretty inviting too, so thought I would share.... don't they just look mouthwatering.....

Almost too good to eat...

This past week I had the opportunity to be involved in the SHINE program running at our school. SHINE is an amazing program aimed at building self esteem in young woman and letting them know how unique and valuable they are. Anita shared the following illustration with the girls. Just wanted to share it with you here.

TRUE WORTH

Anita started out by holding up a crisp new $50 Note. She asked, ‘Who would like this $50 Note?’ Hands started going up. She asked the girls , ‘ How much is this note worth. Hands went up and the girls said $50. She proceeded to pretend to spit on the note and then crumple up the $50 note. She then asked, ‘Who would still wants this note?’ Still the hands were up in the air. Well, she replied, ‘What if I do this?’ And she dropped it on the ground and started
to grind it into the floor with her shoe. She picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. ‘Now, who still wants it?’ Still the hands went into the air.
She proceeded to tell them that , we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what
she did to the money, they still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $50.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into
the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come
our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.”

Too many times we forget that the same God who created this flower, the same God who created the sun to shine upon this flower is the same God who created us. “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows (flowers-my insertion).” Matt. 10:31.

Thought it was a valuable lesson and worth remembering and sharing.

This year I am trying to practice the attitude of Gratitude, so this week I am thankful for

1. Air conditioning
2. Roses and their beautiful fragrance
3. Massages
4. Gel Pens
5. Date nights with my beautiful husband
6. God's grace
7. Girlfriends
8. SHINE
9. The colour green - green grass everywhere
10. God's word
11. My value and worth doesn't change because of the circumstances or choices I make in my life.

and in closing

Here are some beautiful words from God’s word for you and me today:

“Are you tired? Worn out? …Come to me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with Me and work with Me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace… Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Matthew 11:28 The Message

If you come by and visit, please say Hi, would love to hear from you.... It has been a little quiet around here lately.
