HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

What Makes a Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Just want to wish my Dad a very Happy Birthday's Day.  The above Poem is especially dedicated to you Dad..... we have been so blessed to have you in our lives....  I know this has been a difficult Father's Day.  The first that you haven't shared with Mum since you have become a dad.   Just want to let you know that we love you very much.

My Dad surrounding my most of his family
On the home front, it's been a lovely Father's Day here.  Steve got a little spoilt.
Breakfast in bed, cooked by these three
Daina, Brenton and Chloe
Then came the present opening and guess who got spoilt this year.
Watch, Tools and DVD's - Just what a man wants.
We headed to church even if we were a little late - due to the lateness of the breakfast in bed and then after lunch we all headed out to lunch together to one of our favourite spots.  The Giddy Goat..
Lunch at the Giddy Goat
We've had a quiet afternoon at home,  vistors and phone calls and then this evening Steve enjoyed a Skype with his other kids
A very Happy Day when spending time with his Kids.
When Chloe and Sarah were in Fiji, they met the Barnett family and enjoyed their company most days especially when playing volleyball or Water polo.  Since arriving home they have all kept in touch.  This week, we are enjoying the company of Brenton, who is out here for 10 days holiday.    He is a great guy and we are enjoying his company.

Friday was a full on day and then with Brenton arriving on the evening flight, we decided on take away for dinner.  We have discovered Pizza Capers, and these two pizzas are our all time favourites at the moment.
Their famous Reef and Beef
And Steve's favourite the "Savana" - all seafood.

I've been wanting to see this movie for a while now

Yesterday afternoon I managed to see it with a friend.  It was actually produced or directed - not sure which now, by a local from home here.  It was a really good movie, please I saw it.

Tonight I need to attack this.
Mt. Washmore.
Today I came accross the following quote. Being in education,  this makes perfect sense to me.  Just wanted to share it and keep it for future reference.

Full on week this week.... busy week at work, and then I am off for a few days to help my Dad celebrate his first birthday on his own.
