FISH AND CHIPS AT THE BEACH..
This morning Willow got up nice and early and started her school work, even before Steve and I had got out of bed...
I had said to her yesterday we wanted to get in and get it done nice and early so that we could go to the beach for lunch....
I had planned to take them for a walk along the boardwalk up to the Singing Ship.
Once their school work was finished, we took off first heading to Shopping Fair as I hoped to get a hair cut for both Willow and I before we took off to the beach... Unfortunately there was an hour and a half wait if we wanted a hair cut, so we had to give that a miss...
We did however, do a little bit of shopping first... We wanted to go get a Mother's Day present for the children to give to their Mum for Mother's Day when they got home...
We found a lovely necklace for Sarah, and then it was time to pack up and head down to the beach....
We arrived down there around 12.30pm and headed to a great fish and chip shop at Emu Park located near the Post Office... Unfortunately for us, the only day in the week that they are closed is on a Tuesday, so we had to go find somewhere else to get our lunch... We ended up at JOLT in the heart of Emu Park...
Once we got our lunch we headed around to the beach front at Emu Park to have our Picnic...

We even had to put our picnic rug around the kids shoulders to strop them from freezing, so we decided to scrap the walk..
After a quick pit stop to the toilets, I decided to let the kids have a very quick play in the playground. We were the only ones there...

It was hard to get the kids off the playground...
From the playground, we dropped in to visit my friend Jannett who now lives down at Emu Park... It was nice to catch up with her as I had not seen her since before Dad had passed away. We also got to catch up with her daughter Lana who is working from home at their place at the moment..
We were there for an hour or so before heading home again...
By the time we got home it was close to dinner time... The kids helped Poppy water his garden and had a play with him before it was bath time and then dinner....
We are so enjoying having our beautiful grandies stay with us.... The time is flying...
