Quite a few of the ladies from church get together each week for social outings..
Now that I have finished work I am able to join them..
Because of the Covid virus, they have only just started getting together again. I missed their first outing but was able to join them for the first time last week.
Usually, they go on an outing every second week, and then meet at one of their homes the following week for morning tea...

Morning tea on Marg''s back deck |
I was the baby of the group... I have been so used to being one of the oldest in my work environment and to join these ladies and then be the baby of the group certainly feels different. They are a lovely bunch of ladies and I certainly enjoyed my morning with them

Some of Marg's beautiful plants... |
After morning tea, we all went for a wander through Marg's lovely garden. With all the restrictions with Covid, she has been able to spend a lot of time in her garden and it is just looking fantasic at the moment. In fact she has inspired me to do a lot more work with out gardens at home here....

Marg has a wonderful collection of desert roses... |
She has quite a few flowering ginger plants too. I love the ginger plants and their unusual flowers... My love for ginger came from a visit to the Cairns Botanical Gardens when we were there a few years ago.
She had another lovely flowering ginger plant also...
I love these also... I have wonderful memories of these plants from my younger years... Marg said that she had planted them, they just randomly appeared but they look good in this part of her garden and I guess if you keen on top of them and not let them grow wild, they add colour and shape to the garden...
Marg has one of the largest collections of Bromeliads that I have seen in anyone's garden and she had the wonderful green fingers because they all looked so healthy...
We ventured from the back yard out to Marg's front garden. She has one of the prettiest poinsettia plant I have seen and it was in full bloom. I always think of these as the Christmas plant...
It was a lovely morning and I am looking forward to joining these ladies more often... Next week they are heading up to Mount Archer for morning tea and a walk around the top of the mountain...
