ROAD TRIPPING WITH MIA....
Well at long last the day Chloe has been waiting for has arrived...
We head off today down to the Sunny Coast for our break and also to deliver this sweet little girl to her new Mumma...
Our grandchildren are staying at our Sunny Coast home so they are super excited waiting also for us to bring Mia down...
I had an early morning massage before we could get away, so Steve put Mia in our trailer whilst he packed the car. He needed to have her outside with him but somewhere where he could contain her ...
She looked so cute...
We had set up her little bed on the back seat of the car so that she could sleep on the drive down..
She seemed to like our laps better. When Steve moved the car around in our front yard to pack it, she headed straight for his knee....
We weren't too sure how she would travel as it was quite a journey and we would be in the car for several hours... We had planned on stopping every two hours to give her a toilet break and a little run to stretch her little legs... We weren't sure whether this would be enough, but she was the perfect little passenger...
She was more interested in sitting on my lap (or should I say sleeping on my lap) on the drive down... A few times she would wander over into the back seat to lay on her little bed, but wouldn't last there too long before walking back over to lay on my lap again....
Our first stop on our way down was at Mirriam Vale. It was almost lunch time when we arrived so thought we would indulge ourselves and order some crab sandwiches.... our favourites. We parked in the back street under some shady trees and I took Mia out for a little walk so that she could toilet whilst Steve walked around to the servo to buy the sandwiches...

After we had eaten lunch, Steve had a little play with Mia whilst I headed off to the toilet... and then it was time to hit the road again...
She had spent the first two hours sitting on my lap so I thought I would put her on her little bed to see if she would be content to just have a little sleep for the next leg of our journey. We had planned to head through to Childers and stop again there for her to have a little toilet break...
It wasn't long before she was back on my lap again....
We had a short stop in Childers to toilet her again, and only spent about 10 minutes there before taking off again...
This time we headed down the road for another hour before stopping to refuel the other side of Maryborough, where we stopped and I once again took Mia for a little walk to toilet her. She was much more active here and wanted to run around and explore everything...
We thought we would stop again in Gympie but she was very happy and settled and sleeping so we decided to push on and just head the rest of the way to the Coast...
We arrived a little after 5pm and Chloe and Dan were already there... She wanted to grab her straight away but I made her wait until Steve could take a photo of the hand over...
Danielle and Andy had also spent the day on the coast so they also dropped in to meet Mia and we all had dinner together before, Dan & Chloe, Andy and Danielle and Sarah and Colin all took off to head back to Brisbane...
Our grandchildren were staying on with us for the rest of the week..
Chloe arrived home with Mia and sent us some photos of our little darling settling into her new home....
Chloe had a great night with her also... I think she got up to toilet her around 2am but it was straight back to bed and she woke again just after 5.30am...
There was no whinging or crying at her new home either... She is such a beautiful natured little thing..
The following morning she enjoyed some play time on their back lawn...
It seems like she has well and truly settled into her new home...
