TWO GRANNIES GO OUT TO PLAY

It's been a great day today.
I spent most of the day with my good friend Barb.

My close friend Barb--- my other Granny in baby shopping crime
We are both grand mother's now to gorgeous baby girls..
We never have been good when we go shopping together...
So today was no exception...
We came accross the most beautiful little things for our grand daughters and we got such good deals on them....  how could we pass them up.
Just a really good girlie day.
Off course Willow got spoil
I went looking for something like these...
Little white frilly pants.
But when I saw this I JUST COULDN'T resist
A goodnight bear

So irresistible
We went to Baby Bunting.... I had never heard of the store before... my goodness you could go wild in there.  They had everthing from medication to clothes, joys, prams, cots, carseats... EVERYTHING..

From here we moved onto a place called TRADE SECRETS... we have never of these stores back home.
They had some gorgeous stuff there and we got a little carried away.

Saw this gorgeous little Aussie outfit which was really quite reasonable, but thought it would be so cute for Willow for Australia Day...
Willow's Australia Day Outfit....
Then I saw this....
Little Stripped Denim tunic
Couldn't resist this, it was marked down to under $10, and I thought it would be great for winter too because you could change the t-shirt and put a long sleeve one under...

This one I fell in love with.  it was the dearest thing I bought but still under $20 but it looked gorgeous.
So so cute
The detail and other frilly white pants I got
Managed to get another little pair of frilly pants for under Willow's dresses.  Disposal nappies under pretty dresses just do not cut it... Back in our day we had gorgeous frilly pilchers... Don't seem to make them anymore.
That's not all I found.
Seriously how cute are these.....
$6
and these ones were under $6... Just could not resist them at all... She will grow into them...
So so cute
Of course I fell in love with them...
After all our baby shopping we ended up at Spotlight.  You should have seen our trolley loaded up with fabrics...
Our trolley
Sewing frenzy coming up
We had a ball.  I bought heaps more material to make some more hooter hidders.. Why wouldn't you when they had 50% off it all.  We have hairbands coming up, Red Hatter's costumes, dresses from our grand daughters.. Oh we had fun.
It's days like this that makes me wish we lived down here.  I miss our fun times together.... I miss our sewing sprees.  Barb and I had a children's label when our children were little.  We sewed together every week....

We enjoyed a lovely lunch together at a place called VAST - will go back there again..  They had a really lovely selection of very healthy food but all a little different.

We headed home about 2.30pm because these lovely folk were coming to have afternoon tea with us.
Dan & Jenni Avenell
Dan and Jenni are good friends of ours from Rocky.  Dan used to teach with Steve before going back to Uni to become an ordained minister.... They now live in a little rural community called North Star.  Think the populaton of the town is about 50.
It was so good to catch up with them....
They have had a very exciting Christmas...
Their first grand child was born on Christmas day, so it was lovely to catch up with them and share our grand parenting experiences.  So exciting too because we both have grand daughters.
Our other friend Eleonore also because a grand mother this year.  Her daughter Catherine had a little baby boy back in June....
Introducing their gorgeous grand daughter
Claire Patricia Avenell.
Still got catch up's to do... Chloe is on a road adventure... four states in as many days...
Will try and update that in the next day or so..
