A WEEKEND AT WORK

It was a crazy weekend.  Mostly it was spent at work rearranging our Library....
What a mess...
We had to unpack all the shelves to move them.
There were piles and piles of these everywhere....

Books Books and more books...
 We had them everywhere....
On every available surface
 More books
Didn't realoze we had so many
It was exhausting and backbreaking work.
Even our men folk came in and gave us a hand moving the furniture...
It was so much appreciated...
Do we like it like this.... or should we change it again...
 Nope think it will stay....
More book to be put back on shelves...
back breaking work
Finally by Saturday evening we had them all put back... and a new library ready to greet the kids on Monday morning..
That is not where my school work ended though...
I spent the rest of the weekend, printing of material to make displays and posters for the walls.
We have a bit of a Fairy Tale theme going at the moment, so there were lots of these being printed, laminated and cut out...
Fairytale Characters.
I found this awesome site here ... Fabulouss free resources for teachers,  and I had a field day printing off some to place around the librery...
I printed off these page maps to help our students with their writing....
Story page maps
Then there were these awesome posters to place around out library...
Reading posters...
They have certainly brightened up our space...
It was good to go into work this morning to a nice new space and it was received well by the students in particular.... This afternoon I also saw how much better it was for class groups also as we have set up some great spaces for story reading,  puppet play, writing corner and a couple of other areas where teachers can read to their students...
All in all I think it was a success weekend..
But I'm stuffed now...
Looking forward to this weekend when my beautiful daughter and our precious grand daughter come for a visit...
