OUTBACK QLD TRIP - DAY 10 - TOOWOOMBA - QUEEN'S PARK

Ian and Kathy were hoping to be gone by just after lunch, but it was getting closer and closer to lunch time, and we still had a couple of gardens to go.  I have always loved Toowoomba, and enjoyed my trips up here but it has been so nice to have a bit of time to actually explore the gardens this trip,  and made even more special by the fact that they are all out in flower and look absolutely stunning.

Arriving at Queen's Park
Love those Pansies
Love this photo of the boys....
Beautiful entrance to the Gardens
Full of Colour -  perfect day...
The Mayflowers were magnificent
We went to see the Parterre Garden next
beautifully scultured gardens...

Beautiful entrance to the Garden
Pair of love birds....
Who wouldn't steal a kiss next to them...

Then it was off to see all the colourful gardens....
I just loved them... splashes of colour everywhere.   Both vegetables and herbs mixed amongst the flowers, just beautiful....
Kathy capturing some of the gorgeous colourful gardens...

How could you not appreciate such beauty.  Like Laurel Banks Park, Queen's Park also had a viewing platform and we were keen to climb up to it to see all the gardens....

Ian and Steve admiring the flowers

Taking a moment to enjoy the wonderful day .
Fresh air, sunshine, and perfect Spring weather..
Having a little snooze...
We actually really looked the look of this tree.... the mangled and twisted branches gave it some real character.  What impressed us even more where what we found in it...
Loved the shapes of these branches...
The surprise was finding a natural bee hive in the tree...
Off to see more flower gardens..
How rich is the colour in these purple flowers....

It was getting closer to 1pm so we figured we had better keep moving as we still wanted to duck out quickly to Picnic Point.  It was decided that we would make that our lunch stop.   We quickly made out way through the rest of the gardens...

Love these poppies...

These next few gardens fascinated us,  they were cabbages and kale... but very pretty...

The last of the flower beds...
These were such a deep deep purple that they were almost black...
Ian enjoyed a quick rest...

Heading to our last park for the day.
