OUR LAST VISIT TO DREAMWORLD.....

Last year I took Willow to Dreamworld for her birthday...

Off to Dreamworld we head again.....
It was much cheaper to buy a yearly pass than to buy a pass just for one day,  and children were free until they were free so I figured it was way better value to buy a yearly pass and take her multiple times whilst she was free.  I think we have been at least four or five times together this year, and I know that she has been numerous times with her parents.  She loves the place and looks forward to our outings there...
A day at Dreamworld

This year it was so much fun...
Last year she was full of wonder when we were there,
This year she knew exactly what she wanted to do and see and we really did have a lot of fun together....
A photo with Dorothy
I am not sitting next to her though...
It was quite funny this year....
Willow was quite brave and wanted to go and have her photo taken with Dorothy.  She even lined up in the queue to have her photo taken...
In fact she was very brave and sat in close to Dorothy for me to take the photo but the moment Dorothy went to put her arm around Willow she was out of there, and no amount of coaxing would get her back to sit with Dorothy.  In the end, my friend Kathy took her grand daughter Zalia in for a photo and even then we had to coax Willow to go and sit next to Kathy for the photo...

After the Wiggle's concert (always a favourite), it was off to have a ride on the teacups....
and the big red boat.....
She loves the teacups
Big wave to Moppy

Then we had to have a ride on the Big Red Boat....
For some reason she loves the big red boat even more than the big red car.....
Another wave for Moppy
By the time we had finished here it was almost time for the tiger show to start,  this is also a bit of a lunch break for us as we try and head to watch the show where there are some table and chairs...
Have always been successful in getting one too.  It also gives us a little break and sit down time...
Willow loves the tigers and was keen to show me the baby tiger.  Since we had last been together,  a baby tiger has been born and she knew exactly where to take me so that we could see it....  So cute...

From here she was keen to go on the merry go round and ride the horses.  Usually she wants me to stand right next to her and hold her on the horse.  This time she informed me that she was a big girl now and I didn't have to hold her... She could ride them all by herself...
There was one stipulation though, she wanted to ride a pink horse....
 So pink horse it was.....
I can ride it all by myself....
Even holding the reins....

Loving it....
Of course it was nice to have my photo taken with her as well.  Most of the time I took the photos so it was nice to feature in one or two...
Merry go round fun...
A day out together....
Of course I had to get a photo of Kathy with Zalia also...She was not quite as brave and definitely wanted her Ma Ma to hold her on the horse.... That was Willow last year...
Kathy with Zalia
From here it was a ride on the flying donkey....
Up up and away...
Of course we also had to have some photo shots with the Shrek Characters.  She loves this,  and always wants to climb on them and have her photo taken... I think it is because one of them picks it's nose,  because she always points him out and tells me that it is not nice to pick your nose...

By the time we finished here it was almost time for the Madagascar Show to start and Willow was keen to go and see this....
She loves this show,  especially the streamers at the end....
Enjoying the Madagascar Con
Eyes glued to the stage...
She loves these characters from a distance, although this year she did go up on stage and walk under the pole all by herself.  I stayed at the bottom of the stage....
Madagascar here we come...

We were sitting in the back row in the front section which meant that we also had a great view of the characters when they left the stage and danced in the space behind us.  Willow loves it all as long as they don't get too  close...
Love the cheeky smile...
We decided that it was snack time since it was now about 1.30pm but before we were allowed to head off for something to drink and eat,  Willow wanted me to take her photo with these characters... She felt pretty safe wit them as they are very predictable and they don't move.
We had an enjoyable lunch break with the girls being fascinated by a large lizard that kept popping out of the garden right next to where we were sitting....  He would come out and gets a little food and head right back into the garden again.  Both the girls enjoyed following it around....

We also sat opposite some Madagascar characters who would constantly squirt water from their mouths.  Willow met up with another little girl there and the running into the animals and away from them every time one of them squirted some water, kept them amused for ages.  Love how littles can made the best of friends out of total strangers....

From here we decided to head off and see the animals...
We did have to make a detour on the way to the train station, as Willow wanted to play in this ball pit.... This was something new and not something her and I had done together previously... She had a ball stuffing balls into an air machine that would shoot them all over the place...

We got to the train station to find we had a 15 minute wait until the next train arrived...
It wasn't hard to keep the girls amused with these out the front.

There was also a lovely big red train engine the girls were able to climb all over.  Willow was very content to be the driver of the train....

 Train whistle starts blowing...
Time to make a quick move and get back to the station so that we don't miss the train....
All aboard....
Heading off to see the animals...

The girls just love the animals....
Especially the Koalas and Kangaroos...
I was so proud of Willow.... She loves Kangaroos but because of a bad experience when she was younger she has always been way too scared to get up close to them....
Well today,  she let me put some food in her hand and let the kangaroo take the food from her hand...
Huge milestone for her,  and she was terrible excited about it and kept telling me htat the Kangaroo kept licking her fingers....
I think Koalas though are her all time favourite and of course we had to go watch them......
There weren't as many out in the trees as there were the last time we were here, but Willow did decide that she wanted to have her photo taken with this Koala....

We had to get Zalia so that we could get some photos taken together...

Willow also loves to see the Crocodiles and the birds....
The very big Crocodile was hidden up the back sunning itself so it wasn't in a terribly good spot to be able to take a photo of it.....but we did enjoy looking at some of the many birds that were out here...

As it was Willow's birthday and this day at Dreamworld was part of her birthday present,  I decided to treat her to a visit to the Lolly shop.   We have not done this previously, but every time you asked Willow what she wanted for her birthday,. she would always tell me she wanted lollies.. so lollies it was going to be...

She was a little overwhelmed by the amount of lollies in the Candy Shoppe, but she picked a Frozen Fan which had a handle full of jellybeans...
It had a little fan on the end and if you pressed the button the fan would work.  She was totally fascinated by the fan and used it then for the rest of the afternoon

By now it was almost 4.30pm, so we figured it was pretty much time to start thinking about heading home....
We had one last walk around.
There were still so many things that we had not had a chance to do...
It is such a wonderful place.  You could definitely spend ages ad ages here and still not see or experience it all......
I wonder what magical adventures we can have together this next year when we visit...
Such a wonderful day with good friends and my wonderful little munchkin....
