THEY ARE ENGAGED....

It is the most wonderful time of the Year....
We received a call from these guys on Saturday night....

Peter and Maria finally announce their engagement...

It was so exciting....
Maria flashed her third finger on her left hand to show us her ring and to let us know they were engaged...
Feeling so happy and so excited for them... I truely feel very very blessed indeed.  Maria is just a gorgeous woman who totally fits into our family and we are absolutely delighted to have her as a daughter in law.  The girls love her, and I think as a Mum,  I love the way her eyes sparkle and light up when she is around Pete.... Even after all these years of being together they still sparkle and I think they make the most wonderful couple....  We couldn't be happier for both of them....

What an amazing week it is turning out to be....

We only have 5 more sleeps until Pete touches down in Australia... I can hardly wait to see him...
and another 11 more sleeps until Maria and her two sisters arrive.  It is going to be a very special Christmas this year....

Can't wait to hear the story of the proposal properly,  I am sure we will hear about it when Pete gets home...   I am so excited for them also.  They got to celebrate their engagement weekend in the best possible way with really close friends.  Pete's best mate and his fiance, and Warwick and Amanda all flew over to Copenhagen for the weekend to celebrate Christmas together...  It is always nice to share such special times together with such special friends....

What a contrast Christmas is going to be here in Australia for me... Hot weather and Sunshine...
Still I am sure we will have a wonderful time and I can't wait to see them both...
We will have to experience a Winter Wonderland with Pete and Maria in Copenhagen one of these days soon
