OUR EUROPEAN HOLIDAY - DAY 3 IN COPENHAGEN....

Today was a very low key day in Copenhagen....
It was a little wet and overcast this morning and we were all feeling pretty tired and lethargic.

We spent the day catching up and living like Danes... cooking cleaning, resting, washing, and baking...
We were going to go out for a while but Maria's brother Rune and her nephew Max decided to come for a visit.  Her nephew Max is very shy and we thought it would be a good idea if the children got to meet each other and have a little play together before we went up to Maria's parents place for the wedding....

Maria's brother Rune and his wife Heidi and their son Max....
It was also a good chance for Sarah to be able to get her children back into some sort of routine.

Sarah and Chloe went for a bike ride in the morning to get some supplies for breakfast.  The girls loved bike riding in Copenhagen and would jump at the chance to find any excuse to hope on the bikes and go for a ride....

Late morning, everyone except for me, went for a play in Banana Park.  I was still pretty exhausted and a little sore, so used this time to catch up on some much needed sleep.  I think the fact that I had been pretty sick before we left was still making me feel a little exhausted...

We had a picnic lunch out in the garden, and then in the afternoon, Maria headed out to Uni to finish an assignment that was due that week.  Steve fixed a puncture on Maria's spare bike so that everyone had a bike to ride, and when he had done that,  they all went for a bike ride to get a few groceries for us for dinner as we were cooking it tonight...

I stayed home and babysat the children....  We had a lovely time just playing together on the floor.  I feel very privileged that we can have this special holiday with them all....  This is something to cherish always....  Very blessed indeed.

Pete is due home from his bucks weekend away tonight... Looking forward to seeing him and spending some time with him at long last.....
