DAY 4 – SATURDAY 8TH DECEMBER 2018

A great sleep in this morning… The sun does not rise here at the moment until after 8.30am, so it actually makes sleeping in very easy to do.

We got up just after 8am and Steve wandered up stairs to make a cuppa and a to make some toast for us to eat.  He bought it back down stairs and we just rested and read until we heard the others stirring around 9.30am.

We knew that Maria had been up to Theo during the night so wanted to keep out of their way and away from upstairs until we heard that they were up…
It is a very overcast and wet day in Copenhagen today with the temperature only reaching 6degrees.  Definitely and indoor kind of day today..

This didn’t worry us too much as it is nice to have a day to recovering from our big 24 hours on the plane the previous day….

Loving being at Pete and Maria's, it is such a cosy home now, and has changed considerably since we were here two years ago...
We’ve had a pretty lazy sort of day.  Theo has been delightful this morning.  Fully chatting to us, big smiles that actually bring tears to your eyes.  Just a beautiful little boy and so cherished…

We’ve sat and made some plans for the rest of the week, and then I have decided to start to catch up on my blog for this trip whilst Steve and Pete are downstairs bottling the beer brew that Pete made a week or so ago….

I think they are just delighting in spending time with each other.  It is so good to be here…..
Steve, Pete, Maria and Theo went for a walk to the shops later in the afternoon so that they could pick up a  few groceries for dinner,  I stayed indoors.  It is quite cold, wet and miserable and I really don’t have the clothes to be out in this weather, and I am still recovering from the big 24 airs in the air.

Pete cooked us a wonderful meal this evening,  steak and roast vegetables with the most amazing mushroom gravy,  and we finished it off with a glass of wine.

Just a very chilled out evening together, and we spent the rest of the evening just sitting on the couch chatting and enjoying each other’s company.  Steve and I were both feeling tired and were going to call it quits by 9.30pm but then decided to have a cuppa before we went to bed, it seemed to revive us and it was almost 11pm before we realized the time.  It was just so nice chilling out with Pete and Maria.

I slept like a log but I think the jet lag has set in with Steve as he was up and down all night…
