AIR CON GOES IN TODAY...

 It's been a massively busy week with tradies in getting work done.  We have one last job being done today and that is installing air con in the house again.  We had a system in the living area but it died years ago, and my parents who were living here weren't too keen on using air con so it didn't seem worth replacing it until now...

With us, we are used to air con and find it difficult to live with the heat so we made sure we had it organised to be installed before we are due to spend a couple of months down here during Summer...

Our old system sat on the ground, but as we are hoping to put a new carport on, our air con tradie suggested we put the front air con on a bracket on the wall, and that way it won't interfere with the concrete that we will need to pour for our new carport...

We also decided that we would have a smaller system installed in our bedroom.  The beauty of having it in there is that we are able to close the windows at night and with the air con on, the road noise is muffled...

 Unfortunately the whole time we were down on the coast, the weather was pretty wet and temperature was mild and we really didn't have any need to run the air conditioners.  Towards the end of our stay, we did put it on for a couple of nights just to make sure that it really did work and also to see if it drowned out the traffic noise first thing in the morning.  It was effective for both...
