DAY 42 - DENMARK ADVENTURE - LONSTRUP... Saturday 4th June, 2022...
More to come....
Babies in Denmark don't sleep inside during the day. Even in Winter, they will be all rugged up and sleep out in their prams in the fresh air. Surprisingly they sleep a lot longer out in the fresh air too. Elliot having his midday nap…
We still had a few jobs to do around the farm this morning to get ready for the big celebrations the following day… Pete finishing off repainting the barn doors…
We spent the afternoon at the beach in Lonstrup. So different to when we were last here. The winter storms have washed away a lot of the sand from the beach and more is having to be bought in to replace it…
Lonstrup is a ideal summer holiday location in Denmark. We love it here…
We met Pete and Maria and the boys at the beach. Beautiful summer’s day here with a temperature of 16 degrees C. They were keen for a swim. We were not so keen…
After their swim, we headed into the village for an ice cream. Steve was interested in the building process of a building being renovated… The way the window sills were constructed, the consistency of rockblock in Denmark, and the insulation between the walls. All very different to the way we do thing at home…
A wander around Lonstrup…
Nothing like a Danish ice cream with Guf…
Danish crabs for dinner tonight… Surprisingly, they don’t eat the body or legs of a crab in Denmark. They only keep the claws and cook them, and the rest of the crab is discarded. What a waste…
